Break free from anxiety and regain control

What is anxiety? Is this how you feel?

Anxiety is the body's natural response to stress. It’s one of the most common mental health issues that can manifest in various forms, such as:

Excessive worry

Restlessness

Racing thoughts

Physical symptoms like a racing heart or shortness of breath

While anxiety is a normal part of life (at moderate levels, it can be a helpful signal that alerts you to potential dangers), it can easily become overwhelming and persistent, thus adversely affecting your life's quality.

When anxiety becomes chronic or intense, it can disrupt your daily life and affect your relationships, work, and overall well-being.

Anxiety therapy will help you prevent it from happening or guide you out of that stage.

Types of anxiety disorders

Although a lot of people correlate EMDR with trauma & PTSD treatment, this modality is more versatile and can be used to help clients struggling with:

Generalized Anxiety
Disorder (GAD)

Identified by persistent and excessive worry about everyday situations, often without a clear cause.

Phobias

It’s an intense fear of particular objects or situations that goes beyond rational concern.

Panic Disorder

Characterized by sudden and intense episodes of fear (panic attacks) that may include a racing heart or shortness of breath.

Perfectionism

A never-ending need to meet extremely high standards, often causing chronic stress and self-criticism.

Social Anxiety Disorder

It involved a deep fear of being judged, embarrassed, or rejected in social situations, leading to avoidance of such interactions.

Why should you seek anxiety therapy?

Anxiety will not go away on its own; you may need professional help to overcome it, and this is where my role begins. With my support, you will be able to understand the root causes of your anxiety, which is the first step on the way to healing.

Anxiety therapy will help you develop healthy coping mechanisms and regain a sense of control of your thoughts and emotions.

Together, we will work on reducing anxious feelings and getting rid of detrimental patterns that affect the way you feel. I will also help you build resilience so you can face life’s challenges with confidence.

What can you expect from trauma/PTSD therapy

There are five main benefits you can expect from trauma & PTSD therapy with me:

EMDR

Eye movement therapy will help you break the cycle of anxiety. With EMDR, you will achieve a greater sense of safety and emotional stability. This modality is especially beneficial when your anxiety is related to distressing events from your past.

Havening Techniques

This approach helps you regulate your system in moments of high stress and prevent the overwhelm from hijacking your body in moments of crisis.

IFS

This modality will help you identify and work with the inner Parts that contribute to worry and fear. By building a more balanced and compassionate relationship with these parts, you will be able to reduce overwhelm and regain emotional balance.

Brainspotting

This therapeutic approach is similar to EMDR. By focusing on specific eye positions, brainspotting enables your brain to release the tension and “rewire” its emotional responses, which leads to a greater sense of calm and being in control of your own life.
